One week till deadline

Woop.
Well i've nearly finished my Arthur, he is all coloured in and has a background, all he needs is a head, which will only take me a day.

This is what he looks like and it is going to be the main image. I found it difficult to remember that the art only needs to be concept, but I wanted it to look real enough.

Next I need to finish the fight scene, I am going to take a some reference images of people in the movement that i've decided to do, just to get it looking a bit more realistic.
Then the only other thing left to do is to deconstruct the layout and finish a few more other pages for my sketchbook.
I've really enjoyed this project so far, it just took me a while to decide what kind of image i wanted to do.

Pictures for my piece

I've finally decided what I want my pictures to be off. Its taken a while, but i felt that it was important. I want the images to draw you in, or to at least look nice.
One is going to be of two medieval soldiers fighting on an eerie misty looking background.
The other was going to be king Arthur with Merlin, sitting in a field with their castle in the background just after he got Excaliber, but i started drawing the landscape and I wasn't liking how it came out, so i've decided to change it to just being a midshot of Arthur with Excaliber. Gunna try  and make it look all magical with some symbols in the background.

New Project

This term we started the new project Digital Art, where we basically have to make a 2-4 page spread for a magazine about a game and our game company (that we have had to create)
I've been so busy doing the work for this project that I haven't even had time to make a blog for this topic.
But basically, I have done tons of research about font, logos for companies and games, magazine layouts and much more.
I have also done many pages on my logo development for my company logo. (which i will add photos later, plus many more)
I have finished my layout for my magazine, i am really happy with how it came out, i didn't have to tweak it much, and it turned out well.
The only thing I have left to do is to create a couple pictures for my piece.
Which i'm struggling with a bit.
I've narrowed it down to that I want one picture a fight scene and the other with merlin and arthur with the sword Excalibur.
Its just now coming down to doing the layout of the pictures, then i will paint them on photoshop.
This will take a long time, so i'm glade that i have finished everything else so early.
